WorkCover Safety Alert - Storage and Handling of Sheet Glass
This safety alert is published following the fatality of a worker who suffered horrific injuries while unpacking sheets of glass from a timber crate, which was stored on an A-frame. The storage and handling of glass sheets constitutes a high-risk activity that has the potential to cause serious injuries.

Federal Employment and Workplace Relations Minister Joe Hockey today (Wednesday 12 September 2007) launched the Guide to Best Practice for Safer Construction, developed by the Australian building and construction industry, to help combat the unacceptably high death and injury rates of workers on Australian building sites.
